Philippe L'olive underwent brass repair training at Paxman under Luke Woodhead and later David 'Satch' Botwe (known in the French Horn world as 'the Guru'). While at Paxman he worked on both the manufacturing and repair side of the company.
Late 2010, Philippe left Paxman, taking the skill, knowledge and expertise that he had learnt and began repairing on his own.
During the early days of setting up, he also spent 4 months working with Andy Taylor of Taylor Trumpets/ Bellman Brass to gain a specialized knowledge of Trumpets.

In recognition of his skills and experience, Philippe is a professional member of the National Associtation of Musical Instrument Repairers (NAMIR)
Now, Philippe's reputation means that he is called on by internationally established players, local schools, colleges and music services, and works on an ad-hoc basis for many music shops in the South-East of England. |
